OOTD:Queen of Hearts

Life has a way of getting in the way of things, not to mention awful weather. So after forgetting my camera on my trip home for Christmas and the typical British winter weather battering my door I’ve been able to have a break from my hiatus with a little break in the rain.

Like many people I did all of my Christmas shopping online and while looking for gifts for my nearest and dearest I ended up finding more for myself. Good old eBay!

It’s a lovely, soft knitted affair with very vivid red hearts scattered across. It’s very warm and has been a life saver, especially when visiting home for Christmas in the wilds of the North!

If I had to give it some critisim I would say that it sometimes feels quite short in length. As I’m a busty gal it can ride up a bit but nothing that hinders comfort.
I teamed it with my trusty jersey mini skirt from Asos, leggings from Evans and my Doc Martin boots. As the print is quite busy and eye-catching I wanted to keep it simple and swapped accessories for a splash of red lipstick, courtesy of MAC’s Ruby Woo.

OOTD: Stormy weather

So I finally rode the storm out and got the colour out of my hair. Wow, blues are a VERY stubbourn colour to remove.
I quite like the icy blonde, even if it is just an inbetween colour, and so it felt like a good time to pay homage to my favoute goth, Lauren,  and slip on my recent purchase.

The dress was advertised as long sleeved but as you can see this is not the case for me. But the material is made from a gorgeously soft jersey ad has a lovely stretch to it. It does ride up a little but that’s due to my tummy.

I bought this in a large in the straight size section back in the summer and I’ve been waiting for it to cool off enough to wear it. It was a little pricey at £24.99, especially with my local Asda selling one very similar for £16 (I couldn’t find it on the website so it might be worth checking out your local George section!), but with that said I can’t tell you how soft and snuggly this cardigan is. I’ve had SO many people comment on how lovely it feels and I’ve even had a male friend of mine try to acquisition it. I’m sure it may very well feature in some future sets!

I couldn’t complete my witchyness without some wonderfully dark lipstick and lots and lots of rings.
Lipstick is Kate Moss’ Lasting Finish 04 for Rimmel. It’s a glossy, rich, and very deep purple. I’m a big fan of the Kate Moss range of Rimmel lipsticks, I’m particularly fond of the matte range.

OOTD: Am I goff yet?

I LOVE this outfit. For me it strikes the best balance; I feel cute and sexy but also mega comfy. The leggings/skirt combo is a daily basic for me and Evans seem to be the comfiest I can get.
I love Asda tops. Being a 26 it’s out of the question for me to get anything for my bottom half but I am able to wear their 24’s on top. This jumper is nice and thick, as well as soft. It’s washed really well and was super cheap

Despite their size these Demonia maryjanes are really comfy. I’d coveted these for a long time because Demonia aren’t the cheapest and if you’re like me and shopping a bit of a budget £30 can be a lot for a pair of plain shoes.

Jumper: Asda
Skirt: Asos
Leggings: Evans
Platform maryjanes: Demonia.

Hopping on over

I figured it was high time I came over to see what this Blogger business was about. I’m seemingly collecting some blogs to follow here so why not?

For those of you of a Tumblr disposition you may recognise me from there. I’ll be moving some of my posts on my newer Tumblr here too just to catch up.

But for now I’ll leave you with a little ‘About me’ if you will.

I’m a plus size blogger delving into the world of Fatshion. I guess you could say I lean towards a more ‘alternative’ look. Originally from the North West I’m currently living in the East Midlands and figuring out how to be a grown up.
